I was honoured to meet Tammy, who flew in from Hawai’i last week to watch her son graduate from Airborne school on Fort Benning. To be able to graduate, one must complete five jumps, which is a LOT harder than it sounds. Imagine falling a few hundred metres in the air and landing safely on both feet. I hear of soldiers with three or four jumps in who sprain or break an ankle and are unable to finish and graduate – it’s heart crushing. Thank you to all the men and women who dedicate themselves to serving our country and the families who beside them.
