EDIT: Since Facebook has once again made changes, this code no longer works. Sorry, everyone! 🙁
Since Facebook has deleted the “Suggest to Friends” button on fan pages, I want to share this code to create your own custom tab. This way your fans can invite their friends to also “like” your page.
First, you will need to add an FBML tab. Do this by going to “Edit Page” under your profile photo. On the left hand side, choose to edit “Apps”. At the bottom of your Apps admin, click on “Browse more applications”. In the search box, type FBML. From those results choose “Static FBML” to add to your page.
The action perimeter to this code only works with an external link. So go to http://bit.ly/ to create a shortened url of your facebook url.
Go back to your fan page admin and click Apps. Under the FBML app, click “edit” and enter this code. Type this code out – DO NOT COPY AND PASTE. For some reason that results in an error. Be sure to replace the bolded text with your own shortened url, business name, url, and suggestion text:

Don’t forget to give it a title, such as “Suggest Us”. When you’re done, go to your fan page, and from the menu, click on the “+” sign to add your new page.
