Forgiveness can be one of the most difficult things to fully embrace in one’s faith. It is so easy to hold onto grudges and hate your enemy. But hatred, anger, and resentment are cancerous to the soul and give opportunity to the devil. It infects your spirit. There is no room for evil with God’s grace and love in your heart.
Remember, every person is a child of God and is therefore a part of you.
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:26-27, 31-32
